SCOPE OF WORK
WEBSITE/UX PROTOTYPING | VIDEO STORYBOARDING | PRESENTATION DESIGN | EMAIL MARKETING | SOCIAL MEDIA GRAPHIC DESIGN | INTRANET SITE MANAGEMENT
As an agency designer, I worked closely with design leads, creative directors, UX strategists, content strategists, and motion designers over varying projects. I supported groups such as Meta Careers, Global Business Marketing, Apps Business Products Group, and Global Security Protective Services.
Due to the work's internal nature, I cannot provide project links.
META CAREERS NAVIGATION
Visitors to the Meta Careers website had two distinct and disjointed user experiences when navigating the website and Career Profile. This resulted in moving between two web experiences to perform tasks in the candidate journey. Misaligned branding and product naming also limited brand awareness and trust.
CS = Career Site
CP = Career Profile
UX/UI GOALS
Improve the usability of the existing Careers Site navigation structure
Incorporate tree testing recommendations into the structure of the Careers Site Navigation
Create a more seamless experience navigating between CS/CP content
Integrate the CS/CP navigation structures with consideration to logged-out / logged-in states
Usability testing informed the team of a candidate's thought process and paths that are taken to navigate the Careers Site and Career Profiles and discovered some additional UI recommendations to implement:
Users found it difficult to discern links from descriptive text without hovering.
Recommendation: Add carets to mega menu items to indicate further interactivity and provide a stronger contrast between links and text styles.
The Meta logo was not understood as a pathway back to the main Careers Site homepage.
Recommendation: Explore an alternate logo variation that conveys the Careers site distinction.
On Mobile, the distinction between CS and CP links was unclear due to the CP-related links present within the Careers Site menu.
Recommendation: Isolate all CP interactions into the account dropdown menu.
*Due to the Meta layoffs in 2022, project priorities shifted and changes were not implemented.
